The United States National Soccer Team Players Association joins the family and friends of John ‘Clarkie’ Souza, honoring the memory of the former National Team player and National Soccer Hall of Fame member who died on March 12th. Souza was a member of the 1950 World Cup team that recorded the famous win over England that has become a touchstone moment in the history of American soccer. He also was part of two US Olympic soccer teams in 1948 and 1952, as well as serving his country as a member of the Navy during World War II. Souza was 91 years old.
