Monterrey took advantage of hosting the opening leg of the CONCACAF Champions League final series, shutting out Santos Laguna on Wednesday in front of a large crowd at their Tecnologico stadium. Humberto Suazo opened the scoring in the 60th minute, doubling the lead in the 86th. Goalkeeper Jonathan Orozco recording the clean sheet. Herculez Gomez started and went the distance for Santos Laguna. The return leg in Torreon is on April 25th.
