Santos Laguna won Mexico's Clausura title on Sunday night in front of their home fans at the Nuevo Estadio Corona, taking the title 3-2 on aggregate. With the series tied 1-1 after the opening leg, Daniel Luduena started the scoring in the 5th minute for Santos with Oribe Peralta doubling the lead in the 64th. Monterrey pulled a goal back in the 78th minute, but with Santos holding the tiebreaker Monterrey needed two more for the win. Instead, the score stayed 2-1 on the night and the title went to Santos Laguna. Herculez Gomez was on the bench for Santos.
