Santos Laguna advanced to the Clausura final with a tiebreaker win over Tigres on Sunday night. In the Mexican Primera Division, the first tiebreaker goes to the team with the higher finish in the regular season. Santos Laguna finished 1st. Herculez Gomez was a 51st minute substitute with Santos down 2-0 on the night. Two late goals were the difference, with Oribe Peralta scoring in the 86th and 89th minutes. Santos Laguna advance to face Monterrey over two legs for the title starting on May 17th and concluding on May 20th. Jonathan Bornstein wasn't in the squad for Tigres, who had beaten Santos for the Apertura title last Fall.
