Montreal midfielder Patrick Bernier is Major League Soccer’s Player of the Week for Week 15, MLS announced on Monday. Bernier assisted on three of the Impact’s four goals in their 4-1 win over Seattle. This is Bernier’s debut season in MLS and his first POTW award. He picked up seven of the 18 first choice votes, beating Real Salt Lake’s Fabian Espindola by one vote. Bernier’s teammate Felipe Martins picking up two and Chicago teammates Chris Rolfe and Patrick Nyarko and Vancouver’s Darren Mattocks received one each.
