In what is being called a ‘road map to reform,’ CONCACAF has announced three new committees: Integrity, Audit & Compliance, and Ethics. "The creation of these committees is the next logical step in the transformation of CONCACAF, demonstrating that we are committed to transparency and reform," CONCACAF president Jeffrey Webb said in a press statement. "We are working meticulously with professionals possessing competence and integrity to fill positions on each committee. The Integrity Committee will be completely independent and will be free to carry out their respective mandates.”

Oh goody, committees! They can have meetings, and issue press releases, containing very stern language. That will most certainly fix the generations-old institutional crony-corruption that is CONCACAF. And no, I’m most certainly not cynical. My anti-cynicism committee has fully addressed that matter.
