CONCACAF confirms meeting with CONMEBOL

On Wednesday, CONCACAF announced that president Jeffrey Webb and vice-president and Mexico Football Federation president Justino Compean were in Brazil to meet with the executive committee of CONMEBOL, South American soccer’s governing body.  On the agenda is “a special Copa America in 2016 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of CONMEBOL that would involve CONCACAF's partnership and participation, referee development, technical programs and other synergies.”
