CCL: Toronto gets three points

Toronto beat Aguila in CONCACAF Champions League play on Aug 1st, 2012.Toronto FC opened their Group 1 schedule with an easy 5-1 win over Aguila in the CONCACAF Champions League.  Playing at home, Toronto put a dozen shots on frame from 25 taken to Aguila's four from eight.  Luis Silva opened the scoring for Toronto in the 9th minute and it was 2-0 by the 17th from a Reggie Lambe goal.  Aguila cut that lead in half in the 37th minute, but that was it for their offense.  Terry Dunfield scored Toronto's third goal in the 40th minute with Lambe getting his second of the game eight minutes later.  Ryan Johnson finished off the scoring in the 58th minute. 

Also on Wednesday, Metapan beat Puerto Rico 3-1. Tigres had no problem with Real Esteli, shutting them out 4-0.  Jonathan Bornstein wasn't in the squad for Tigres.
