Columbus forward Federico Higuain is Major League Soccer's Player of the Week, MLS announced on Monday. Higuain had a goal and an assist in the Crew's Wednesday win over Toronto and scored two goals in their 4-3 win over New England on Saturday. Higuain received 10 of the 22 first-place votes. Seattle's Fredy Montero got nine, with Higuain's teammate Jairo Arrieta picking up two and San Jose's Alan Gordon receiving one.

You’re right about the games needing to be weighted. They might as well just limit it to players who had two games that week. It would be fairer that way.
