MLS reschedules Columbus – Toronto game

Major League Soccer announced on Friday that the Columbus - Toronto game scheduled for Saturday has been postponed.  The game will now be played on August 22nd.  “It is important for us to honor Kirk’s memory by attending his funeral,” Columbus captain Chad Marshall said in a press statement. “We are grateful to the League and Toronto FC for allowing us to move the game and for accommodating our request to be there for Kirk and his family.”  In a separate press statement, Toronto coach Paul Mariner said: "Given the tragic circumstances we agreed to accept this change in the schedule. Our thoughts are with the Urso family and everyone at the Columbus Crew during this difficult time.”
