Darren O'Dea is the newest member of Toronto FC, the club announced on Friday. O'Dea was mot recently with Celtic, where he spent the 2011-12 season on-loan to Leeds United. He won two Scottish Premier League titles as a member of Celtic and has 14 appearances for Ireland. “Darren addresses our need for an experienced, no nonsense central defender,” Toronto coach Paul Mariner said in a press statement. “Darren has great leadership abilities and his experience, both for club and country, will be a welcomed addition to our club and for our young players. We are so pleased to bring him to Toronto.”
