CCL: Metapan 2 – LA 3

The Los Angeles Galaxy won on the road in Champions League play on Thursday night.  With the group already secure, they advance as the fourth seed in the knockout stage.  With a squad that was closer to the reserve team than what's normally on display in Major League Soccer, LA took the lead with a 38th minute Jack McBean goal.  Metapan equalized in the 55th minute, but it was McBean again in the 62nd minute.  Metapan got that goal back five minutes later, setting up Michael Stephens for the 80th minute winner.

In Thursday's other game, Chivas beat Xelaju 2-1 but it's Xelaju moving on from Group 8 on a tiebreaker.
