Michael Bradley is the story from Europe, scoring for Roma in their 2-0 shutout of Atalanta. Erik Lamela opened the scoring in the 30th minute with Bradley doubling the lead in the 62nd. Roma are 5th in Serie A. In Austria, Terrence Boyd also got a goal over the weekend scoring Rapid Vienna's equalizer in the 1-1 draw with Wiener Neustadt. Trailing from the 9th minute, Boyd scored in the 87th. In Liga MX, Herculez Gomez was the difference in Santos Laguna's 1-1 draw against Queretaro. Gomez opened the scoring in the 37th minute at Estadio La Corregidora. Queretaro equalized in the 52nd.
Also in Liga MX, Sunday night was tough for Michael Orozco's San Luis who was on the wrong side of a 4-0 shutout at Jaguares. Edgar Castillo got the start and Joe Corona subbed on in the 62nd minute for Tijuana's 1-0 win over Toluca. Dubier Riascos scored in the 50th minute.
Moving to the Premier League, Tim Howard and Everton finished 2-2 against Wigan on Saturday at DW Stadium. Wigan opened the scoring in the 10th minute, but that lead lasted all of a minute when Nikica Jelavic scored. Wigan took the lead again in the 23rd, and took Everton a lot longer to come up with a second equalizer. Leighton Baines converted a penalty in the 87th minute to split the points. Everton put 12 of their 17 shots on frame to Wigan's six from 10, but trailed six to seven on corner kicks.
"They did what I asked in the second half to make sure we got something out of the game," Everton manager David Moyes said.
Geoff Cameron and Maurice Edu both got into the game for Stoke City on Sunday in their scoreless draw with Liverpool. Cameron started and Edu subbed on in the 81st minute. It was Edu's Premier League debut. Also on Sunday, Clint Dempsey was the only American on the field for Spurs' 2-0 shutout of Aston Villa. Steven Caulker opened the scoring in the 58th minute and Dempsey setup Aaron Lennon's 67th minute goal. The game marked the end of Brad Friedel's Premier League record of consecutive games played.

A league down, Jonathan Spector and Birmingham City lost 1-0 to Huddersfield. Zak Whitbread subbed on in the 63rd minute for Leicester City's 2-0 shutout of Bristol City. David Nugent opened the scoring in the 19th minute and a penalty made it 2-0 in the 74th.
Jozy Altidore's day ended early in AZ's 3-0 loss to Twente due to a second yellow card in the 52nd minute. Altidore's AZ teammate Adam Maher was already on his way to the locker room, red carded a minute before Altidore. Twente led from the 20th minute, adding goals in the 60th and 62nd. Carlos Bocanegra was in the lineup for Racing Santander's 1-0 loss to Murcia. Michael Parkhurst subbed out in the 81st minute of Nordsjaelland's 3-0 loss to Odense BK.
In the Bundesliga, Fabian Johnson and Danny Williams were in the eleven for Hoffenheim, losing 2-0 to Bayern Munich. Williams was yellow carded in the 55th. Timmy Chandler and Nurnberg lost 3-0 to Freiburg. Leading from the 36th minute, Freiburg scored twice in stoppage time. Chandler's 92nd minute foul was a yellow card for him and a penalty converted by Freiburg. On Sunday, Steve Cherundolo and Hannover 96 drew 1-1 with Borussia Dortmund. Cherundolo saw yellow in the 54th minute, one of four Hannover players shown cards. Mame Diouff equalized in the 86th minute to split the points.
