WCQ: Guatemala 2 – Jamaica 1

Guatemala got a late winner to take three points at home in CONCACAF World Cup Qualifying on Friday night.  Carlos Figueroa opened the scoring in the 16th minute, with Jamaica’s Luton Shelton equalizing from the penalty spot in the 61st.  Carlos Ruiz won the game for Guatemala in the 85th.  The United States and Guatemala meet in the final Group A match day tied on points and goal differential.  Jamaica is third in the group with seven points and trails the USA and Guatemala on goal difference by three goals.
