Jonathan Spector started for Birmingham City in their 1-1 draw with Blackpool in England's Championship on Tuesday. Birmingham's Curtis Davies scored in the 45th minute with Blackpool equalizing in the 74th.
"It was a nervy start from us but we grew into the game and finished the first-half really strong and could have been more than one up," Birmingham manager Lee Clark said. "We started the second-half really well too and unfortunately we couldn't get that decisive second goal."
In League One, Frank Simek got the start in Carlisle United's 1-1 draw with Crawley Town. Jon-Paul McGovern opened the scoring for Carlisle in the 23rd minute at Broadfield stadium. Crawley Town equalized in the 56th. Carlisle are 16th in the table.
