Albright named Assistant Technical Director at Philadelphia

NEW YORK, NY (Jan 14, 2013) US Soccer Players – United States National Team alum Chris Albright moves from player to Assistant Technical Director with the Philadelphia Union, the club announced on Tuesday. Albright's new role involves player management and technical decisions as well as serving as a community ambassador.

“ I’m looking forward to the next chapter of my career, and am grateful for this opportunity with the Philadelphia Union,” Albright said. “It was an honor to finish my playing career with my hometown club and I’m hopeful for more successes here as I transition into a new role with the organization. I’m obviously passionate about this area, the product we put on the field, and the development of soccer in this region as a whole.”

Albright has 22 appearances with the US National Team and was on the 2006 World Cup squad.
