WASHINGTON, DC (May 27, 2008) USSoccerPlayers -- After defending Toronto FC fans' fondness for decorating the corner flag during games, MLS Commissioner Don Garber released a one sentence statement in response to press reports that it was more than streamers drifting down from the stands in Columbus.
"We are investigating reports of incidents from the May 24 match between the Columbus Crew and New England Revolution and will take appropriate action based on our findings."
That would be what Revolution midfielder Steve Ralston described to the Boston Globe as bananas, batteries and a smoke bomb.
