English Premier League: Tim Howard was in goal for Everton in their 2-0 win over Fulham. Leon Osman scored twice for the Toffees. Clint Dempsey started and played the full match for Fulham. Everton and Fulham will both play in the Europa League next season after finishing 5th and 7th respectively. Tim Howard started and finished all 38 Prem games for Everton this season. After a slow start to the season Clint Dempsey started 28 league games for Fulham and made an additional 7 substitute appearances. He finished the campaign with seven goals and two assists.
Jonathan Spector started and played the full match for West Ham United in their 2-1 win over Middlesbrough. Carlton Cole and Junior Stanislas scored for West Ham. Gary O’Neil scored for ‘Brough. Middlesbrough are relegated with the loss. West Ham United finish 9th in the Premier League table. Jonathan Spector started four league games for West Ham and made five sub cameos.
Brad Friedel was in goal for Aston Villa in their 1-nil win over Newcastle United. Brad Guzan watched from the Villa bench. A Damien Duff own goal accounted for the games only scoring. Newcastle are relegated with the loss. Villa finish 6th with the victory and will play European football in the Europa League next season. Brad Friedel started all 38 league matches for Villa. Brad Guzan made one substitute appearance following a Friedel ejection.
Germany: Michael Bradley played 90 minutes for Borussia Monchengladbach in their 1-1 draw with Borussia Dortmund. Dante scored for ‘Gladbach and Jakub Blaszczykowski scored for Dortmund. Monchengladbach survive relegation by one point and finish the season in 15th place. Michael Bradley started 26 times for ‘Gladbach and made an additional two sub appearances. He scored five times and had one assist.
Sal Zizzo and Steve Cherundolo both missed out for Hannover 96 in their 2-2 draw with Arminia Bielefeld. Jiri Stajner and Sergio Pinto scored for Hannover. Oliver Kirch and Artur Wichniarek tallied for Bielefeld. Hannover finish the season in 11th place with the draw. Steve Cherundolo started 15 times and made 2 substitute appearances before surgery ended his season. Sal Zizzo made five cameos from the bench.
Bryan Arguez was not involved for Hertha Berlin in their 4-0 loss to Karlsruhe. Hertha finish the season in 4th place and will play in the Europa League next season. Arguez did not make an appearance for the Berlin club this season.
Grover Gibson was not involved for Ahlen in their 4-2 loss to SpVgg Greuther Furth in 2.Bungesliga action. Ahlen finish 10th in table, far from both the relegation and promotion spots. Gibson started 7 matches, made an additional 5 substitute appearances and had one goal on the season.
Matt Taylor watched from the bench as TuS Koblenz lost 4-nil to FC Ingolstadt 04. Michael Wenczel, Ersin Demir, Andreas Neuendorf and Steffen Wohlfarth scored for Ingolstadt. David Yelldell did not make the bench for Koblenz. Koblenz finish the season in 14th place and have survived relegation on goal difference. Yelldell started 30 times in goal for Koblenz before a late season injury ended his campaign. The surprising Matt Taylor started 14 times and made 8 sub appearances. He had seven goals and two assists in his first season in Europe.
Luis Robles started in goal for Kaiserslautern in their 4-3 loss to SC Freiburg. Mohamadou Idrissou scored twice for Freiburg. Erik Jendrisek, Sidney Sam and Aimen Demai scored for Kaiserslautern. Robles made 19 starts and 1 substitute cameo in goal for the 7th place club.
Heath Pearce was not involved for Hansa Rostock in their 1-1 draw with SV Wehen. Dominik Stroh-Engel scored for Wehen and Mario Fillinger tallied for Rostock. Rostock finish 13th in their first season back in the 2.Bundesliga. Heath Pearce made five starts and seven substitute appearances for Hansa.
France: Carlos Bocanegra started and played 90 minutes for Rennes in their 3-1 win over Lorient. Moussa Sow, Rod Fanni and Jires Ekoko scored for Rennes. Marama Vahirua scored for Lorient. Bocanegra and Rennes finish the Ligue 1 campaign next weekend at Marseille. They will be looking to win and get a bit of help to shoot up to forth place and claim the French Europa League spot.
Freddy Adu was not involved for Monaco in their 1-nil loss to Bordeaux. Marouane Chamakh scored the only goal of the game. Monaco round off the league campaign next weekend when they travel to Paris to take on PSG.
Spain: Jozy Altidore was not involved for Xerex in their 2-1 loss to Gimnastic de Tarragona. Victor Casadesus scored twice for Gimnastic. Mario Bermejo tallied for Xerex. Xerex look well on their way to promotion as they lead the Segunda by three points with four matches to go.
Italy: Danny Szetela was not involved for Brescia in their 4-2 win over Sassuolo. Roberto Baronio, Riccardo Taddei, Davide Zoboli and Davide Possanzini scored for Brescia. Brescia sit in fourth place, one point behind Livorno with one game to play. They will travel to Pisa next weekend in search of promotion clinching victory.
Austria: Preston Zimmermann was not involved for Kapfenberg SV in their 5-1 loss to SC Rheindorf Altach. Tomas Jun, Srdjan Radonjic (2), Dursen Karatay and Petr Vorisek scored for Rheindorf. Thomas Schonberger tallied for Kapfenberg. Kapfenberg host Rapid Vienna next weekend in their final league match. They have avoided relegation and will finish no lower than 8th.
Sweden: Charlie Davies was not involved for Hammarby in their nil-nil draw with Halmstad.
Alejandro Bedoya and Orebro SK take on Brommapojkarna today at the Behrn Arena.
Denmark: Benny Feilhaber and Jeremiah White both started for Aarhus in their 1-nil win over Brondby. Frederik Krabbe scored the only goal of the game. Feilhaber was replaced by Kasper Poulsen after 66 minutes of action.
Danny Califf played the full match for Midtjylland in their 1-all draw with Odense BK. Jude Nworuh scored for Midtjylland and Njugo Demba-Nyren scored for Odense.
Michael Parkhurst played the final seventeen minutes for Nordsjaelland in their 3-2 win over AC Horsens. Martin Bernburg scored twice for Nordsjaelland.
