Adu played the first-half before being subbed off with an injured ankle. He isn't expected to need extended recovery time. Anselmo got the game's only goal in the 27th-minute. After seven games, Belenenses are 14th in the 17-team league.
Also on Monday, Hannover 96 midfielder Sal Zizzo ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament during practice. The normal recovery time for the injury is a minimum of six months.
