United States National Team midfielder Michael Bradley will not be completing a permanent move to Aston Villa. Though a deal had been arranged to make Bradley’s loan deal to the club permanent, the managerial change at Villa derailed the move. Bradley remains the property of Borussia Moenchengladbach in the Bundesliga, where the club remained in the top flight after winning a relegation playoff.
Bradley had two appearances after joining Aston Villa on January 31st, with new manager Alex McLeish officially taken over at the club last Friday. Fellow American and Villa #1 goalkeeper Brad Friedel left the club on a free transfer at the end of the season, joining Spurs. Eric Lichaj and Brad Guzan remain on the books at Villa.
