After winning Major League Soccer's Player of the Week award with two goals against Colorado, Danny Koevermans scored again to give Toronto a CONCACAF Champions League win at BMO Field. Koevermans's goal came in the 40th minute in a game where Toronto only put two shots on frame. Toronto could use some MLS help to stay in 2nd-place in Group C. FC Dallas plays UNAM Pumas on Wednesday night, with Toronto ahead of Pumas by two points but on an extra game played.
"Having this many goals in that many games, I don’t mind that, I just want to play," Koevermans said. "Now I'm playing and I’m trying to be important to the team by scoring goals."
