In a rescheduled game, Sporting Kansas City came back twice at home to split the points with the Los Angeles Galaxy. Sean Franklin opened the scoring for LA in the 25th minute, and that lead held until Julio Cesar equalized for Sporting in the 72nd. It was Franklin again, putting LA back in front two minutes later from a David Beckham service. The referee pointed to the spot in stoppage time after Frankie Hejduk was called for a handball in the box. Omar Bravo stepped up to convert the penalty for KC.
