The New England Revolution couldn't hang onto a 3-0 lead or a 4-1 lead in front of 16,148 at PPL Park on Wednesday night, splitting the points with the Union. The Revolution's AJ Soares opened the scoring in the 9th minute, and it was 2-0 New England when Rajko Lekic converted a penalty kick in the 21st minute. Moncef Zerka made it 3-0 New England four minutes later. Roger Torres got a goal for Philadelphia in the 28th, but Benny Feilhaber sent New England into the half with a 4-1 lead after scoring in the 33rd minute. The second-half was all Philadelphia. Freddy Adu scored his first goal as a Union player in the 54th minute. Sebastien Le Toux converted a penalty kick in the 80th minute and scored the equalizer a minute into stoppage time.
"The togetherness of this team is amazing," Adu said. "Sometimes individual make mistakes but we rally around each other. We’re all humans and we make mistakes. Were in this together and we knew we could do it. If New England could score four goals in the first half then we can score four goals in the second half. We have a good offense and a good time. We turned it up a bit and it worked for us from there."
