Gomez opened the scoring in the 2nd minute and scored again in the 15th, with Santos going a man down in the 32nd. Gomez subbed out in the 68th with U.A.G. leading 2-1.
Scotland, and Maurice Edu and Carlos Bocanegra went the distance for Rangers, beating Hearts 2-0. Steven Naismith scored in the 21st minute and Nikica Jelavic doubled the lead in the 74th.
In the Premier League, Tim Howard and Everton got the better of Clint Dempsey's Fulham winning 3-1. Everton opened the scoring three minutes in, and Dempsey picked up the assist on Bryan Ruiz's 67th minute equalizer. The rest of the action waited for stoppage time, with Everton scoring twice. Brad Friedel went the distance for Spurs, beating Blackburn 2-1.
Bundesliga, and Steve Cherundolo exited early in Hannover 96's 2-1 win over Bayern Munich. Cherundolo was red carded in the 63rd minute with Hannover leading 2-0. Bayern had been playing a man down since the 28th when Jerome Boateng was shown a straight red. Hannover had opened the scoring five minutes earlier from the penalty spot. Christian Pander scored Hannover's second goal in the 50th minute. Timmy Chandler went the distance for Nurnberg in their 2-2 draw with Stuttgart. Jermaine Jones also played the full 90 for Schalke 04 in their 1-0 win over Bayer Leverkusen on Sunday. Jefferson Farfan scored the game's only goal in the 82nd minute. A league down, Edson Buddle scored in the 52nd minute to pull a goal back for Ingolstadt, but that would be it for the offense losing 3-1 to Alemannia Aachen.
Serie A and Michael Bradley went the distance for Chievo in a 1-0 loss to Inter Milan. Belgium, and Sacha Kljestan played 63 minutes for Anderlecht, winning 1-0 over Westerlo. Jozy Altidore got the start for AZ in a 1-0 win over Roda JC. Rasmus Elm scored the game's only goal in the 51st minute. Altidore was yellow carded in the 62rd minute and subbed out in stoppage time.
Apertura, and DaMarcus Beasley took his regular place in the starting lineup for Puebla, losing 4-3 to Toluca. Puebla opened the scoring in the 13th minute and regained the lead 2-1 through an own goal in the 22nd. Toluca scored three unanswered to lead 4-2, with Puebla getting another goal in the 90th minute. Puebla is 15th out of 18 clubs with 16 points from 14 games played.
